Whenever my little boy makes a real snowman, he is absolutely crushed when it melts. Since he enjoyed making a fall scarecrow so much, we used some fabric remnants to make a snowman. We used little seed beads for the eyes. Plus, everything looks better in an urn! I spray painted the urn black because the rusty look was too dull.

When we moved in, our guest bathroom was like a time capsule from the 1970's. I should have taken a before picture, but I am sure you can imagine: avocado green tub, wood-look sink, 3 different shades of green tiling. I avoided going in there until some renovating was done. My husband did all the grunt work, and I did the decor end--- all on the cheap. I didn't like the look of the globes of the light fixture my husband chose. To soften the look I glued small lampshades to replace the globes. With a little bead fringe, it really transforms the look. I bought just a regular beveled mirror, and my husband converted it into a medicine cabinet by building a box behind it, and attaching hinges from the inside. I also had my hubby add chair railing and trim for architectural interest. Best of all, no more avocado green!
